Collaborations

performance, innovation & responsibility

Resin Research stands on the belief that superior materials lead to better outcomes — for our customers and the world. For more than 25 years now, we’ve developed high-performance epoxy resin systems offering strength, reliability, and leading-edge performance for use from surfboards to racecars.

Resin Research in Racing

University collaborations that push the limits

We’re proud to support some of the brightest engineering minds in the country by supplying resin systems for university racing teams who are shaping the future of motorsport technology.

Georgia Tech HyTech Racing

These innovators are pushing electric racing forward — and we’ve been thrilled to supply resin systems for their aerodynamic components. Their results speak for themselves: lighter, faster, more efficient racecars.

Texas A&M Formula Electric Racing

The Texas A&M squad uses our systems in strategic areas of their vehicles — from body panels to aerodynamic parts — and places them in top national Formula SAE competitions year over year.

Supporting future engineers

Our partnerships involve more than materials — they’re about backing the next generation of engineers to learn, discover, and create solutions that matter.

HOW WE REDUCE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Our Commitment to Sustainability

We know high-performance materials come with a responsibility to reduce environmental impact wherever possible. That’s why we’ve taken steps to innovate with bio-based epoxy options — systems that partially replace petroleum-based components with renewable materials like glycerin made from corn, rapeseed, and used cooking oil just to name a few.

A NOTE ON BIO-BASED EPOXIES:
A lot of bio-based glycerin comes from vegetable oils — and all around the world, a great deal of that is palm oil. Palm oil production has been linked to deforestation in some parts of South America, Central America, and Asia. Although we anticipate opportunities for renewable resins, we are also exploring responsible sourcing and are committed to greater transparency as the market evolves. We actively work with our suppliers to do everything in our power to know where our products are being sourced from and to make sure we are not contributing negatively to the environment.

CONSERVATION

Since we understand that all choices contribute to an environmental cost, we also contribute to the maintenance of an orangutan by a reputable wildlife organization. It is a small gesture of repaying the favor while still working towards greener alternatives in composite manufacturing.

Why it Matters

Performance and responsibility don’t have to be mutually exclusive. By investing in cutting-edge resin chemistry and supporting education, racing, and conservation, we’re building a future where innovation helps both industry and the environment thrive.
